very casual seafood place with lots of options! the ambiance could have been a little cleaner, but it didn't bother us too much. our waitress forgot a few things, but she was incredibly sweet to us. our party had the calamari, clam chowder, grouper special, and the pastas. everyone loved what they had! I had the shrimp and scallop pasta and the sauce was delicious.

The shrimp pasta was the star of the show and really deserves 5/5. The crab legs were just okay. We didn't have great service (after we finished eating we waited ten minutes before we could find her to ask for the check). The staff was friendly and we sat outside and enjoyed the weather. We also had the clam chowder and it was really good. I would easily come back again for the pasta, the sauce is amazing.

Had the cod fry. Cod was very hot and fell out of the batter. Coleslaw was okay but sorta runny. Boiled potatoes were good but sorta plain. No hush puppies :(. Cocktail sauce very fresh and lots of zing. Had huge slice of key lime pie. It was good but cracker crust too thick and hard. It was more sweet than tart. Crab cakes were good but claw meat not lump. Husband liked his pasta. Daughter thought her rice and beans was too spicy.

A really good seafood spot. We had the fried shrimp and it was sooooo tasty. We had coconut and buffalo both and ordered extra. It's a clean spacious environment with attentive service!

They have all my favorite food, shellfish all the way! This will be my go to place when I'm down here. Serving food from crab legs, oysters, clams, mussels, jambalaya, specialty shells clam chowder, name all the seafood I think they have it the way you like it as well, not just all fried. They have an indoor outdoor seating, the weather is beautiful for outdoor these days. Nothing fancy here just a good place to eat. Service was pretty fast and our server Anthony was friendly and helpful with the food choice and Suggestions, and his suggestion was on point. Going back tomorrow for dinner! YUM! Tuesday crab leg special, first pound is $20 each pound there after is $15. Their grilled shrimp skewers is one of the best I ever had! Loved jambalaya I'm only wishing we have a shells seafood like one at home! :D

My favorite spot at St. Pete Beach !! Definitely worth visiting. Been here three times total now across the years and I will keep it coming. Food here is amazing. The pasta is sauced up just right with delicious seafood scattered across. The clam chowder is a must and starts your meal just right. The server was so nice and was giving out the realest recommendations. Overall, Shells has a great dining area and you really get the feel of being at the beach but eating well in a restaurant.
